What is Jump Start Maths?
Jump Start Maths helps children get school ready through the joy of maths, play and movement.
Our fun, active award-winning classes for ages 2½–5 are designed by qualified teachers to make learning exciting and meaningful. Each session blends movement, music and hands-on exploration to develop early maths understanding, problem-solving and confidence, all while having a brilliant time!
We deliver classes with parents in the community settings and directly within nurseries and preschools, supporting every child build early maths confidence and school-ready skills through play.
Families can also continue the fun at home with our Jump Start Maths Kits, packed with playful resources and ideas to keep early learning going beyond the class.

Our classes are designed for children aged 2 to 5 years old. They’re perfect for little ones preparing for school (including reception age children) or for any family wanting to enjoy playful early maths activities together.

We run classes on Tuesdays in Roberttown, Kirklees and Wednesdays in Brighouse, Calderdale. We will be announcing new locations soon. To be the first to hear about it, sign up to our waitlist.

We run classes every Tuesday and Wednesday in the community. We also deliver classes in nurseries throughout the week. We also run special classes every school holiday.

Yes! You can attend any regular class for half price if you are new to Jump Start Maths. Just use the code TASTER when booking for your discount.

Yes! Sibling non-walkers are free of charge. Siblings under 2 are welcome for a small fee; they will enjoy our tuff tray activities (playdough, construction, small world, gross motor, crafts). Additional resources will also be provided so they can join in with age-appropriate activities e.g. pom poms for the welcome song!

Absolutely! Our classes focus on building confidence and skills through play. Many children discover how much fun maths can be once they start exploring it through games, movement and stories.

Definitely. Our classes go far beyond counting. We explore number sense, shapes, measures and patterns, helping every child deepen their understanding while developing focus and confidence.
